Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: September 18, 2026
The short version. No commitment, cancel anytime. Your first 14 days are free and nothing is charged during them. When you cancel a paid subscription you keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for, and you are never charged again. We do not refund unused time on a period that has already been paid for — with the exceptions in Section 5 and the statutory rights in Section 6, which we honour in full.
Nothing below requires you to contact support. Cancelling, pausing and deleting your account are all self-serve, in the app.
1. The Free plan is genuinely free
Edgekeeper's Free plan needs no card and costs nothing, so there is nothing to refund on it. You can keep an unlimited journal, one prop-firm account and the core analytics indefinitely without ever entering payment details. Free accounts may be shown advertising; Pro accounts are ad-free.
2. The 14-day free trial — you are not charged during it
First-time subscribers get a 14-day free trial of Pro. A payment method is collected at checkout so the subscription can continue without interruption if you keep it, but nothing is charged on day one and nothing is charged at any point during the trial. We email you a reminder before the trial ends, and the first charge happens when the 14 days are up.
Cancel at any point before the trial ends and you are never charged at all — there is no charge to refund, and no cancellation fee. The trial is once per person; if you have subscribed before, checkout starts a normal paid subscription and says so on the page.
3. Cancelling a paid subscription
You can cancel yourself, in the app, at any time and without talking to anyone: Settings → Plan → Cancel subscription. You can also cancel from the Stripe billing portal, reachable from Settings → Plan → Manage billing, which additionally lists every invoice we have ever charged you.
What happens when you confirm a cancellation:
- Your Pro access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, and then the account moves to the Free plan. We do not cut access off on the day you cancel — you keep what you paid for.
- You are not charged again. No renewal, no partial period, no fee for leaving.
- If you are still in the free trial, the trial simply runs out and no charge is ever made.
- Your data stays. Trades, setups, rules and prop accounts are all kept, and you can export them to CSV or come back later.
The cancellation flow is three screens and shows you one alternative, once, chosen from the reason you give: a 50% discount if it is the price, pausing billing for one to three months if you are simply away, and help with the problem itself if you reported a bug or a missing feature. "Continue to cancel" is visible on every screen. Declining never interferes with cancelling, and you are never asked twice.
4. Deleting your account
Deleting your account (Settings → Danger zone) is different from cancelling: it is immediate and irreversible. Any active subscription or trial is cancelled at the same moment, so no further billing can occur — but no refund is issued for time already paid for, and Pro access ends with the account rather than running to the end of the period. If you want the rest of what you paid for, cancel first and delete the account later. Export your data before you delete it; deleted data cannot be recovered. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what is erased.
5. Refunds
Our standard position is the one stated in Terms §3: we do not refund unused time. The 14-day trial exists so that you can decide whether Pro is worth paying for before any money moves, and cancelling always stops the next charge rather than clawing back the last one.
We do refund, without argument, in these cases:
| Situation | What we do |
|---|---|
| You were charged twice for the same period | Full refund of the duplicate charge. |
| You were charged after a cancellation we confirmed | Full refund of that charge. |
| A fault on our side caused the charge — a billing bug, a failed cancellation, the wrong plan or the wrong amount | Full refund of the difference or of the whole charge, whichever applies. |
| You are exercising a statutory right of withdrawal | As described in Section 6. |
| Anything else — you stopped using it, you forgot to cancel, you changed your mind mid-period | No refund of the current period as a rule, but ask. We read every message, and a solo operator can use judgement where a policy cannot. |
Approved refunds go back through Stripe to the original payment method. Stripe typically settles them within 5–10 business days depending on your bank; we cannot speed that part up.
6. EU, EEA and UK consumers — your statutory right to withdraw
If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of entering into it. That right exists independently of this policy and is not limited by anything above.
Edgekeeper is a digital service supplied immediately: Pro features switch on the moment checkout completes, because that is the point of buying it. By starting a subscription you ask us to begin supplying the service straight away and acknowledge that — as permitted by the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 — your right to withdraw is lost once the service has been fully supplied, and that where you withdraw part-way through, we may retain a proportionate amount for the period during which the service was available to you.
In practice, the 14-day trial means most first-time subscribers can walk away before there is anything to withdraw from. If you do withdraw within the 14-day window, tell us as described in Section 8 — no particular form of words is needed — and we will refund what is due within 14 days of receiving the request, to the payment method you used.
7. Price changes and renewals
Pro renews automatically until you cancel: $15 billed every month, or $129 billed once per year. The amount and the cadence are stated next to every payment button before you press it, and there are no setup fees, no per-trade fees and no charges of any other kind. We may change prices going forward and will give reasonable notice before a change affects your subscription; a price change never applies retroactively to a period you have already paid for.
8. Billing questions and disputes
Check the invoice first
Every charge we have ever made is listed, with its date and amount, in the Stripe billing portal — Settings → Plan → Manage billing. Charges from us appear on a statement under our Stripe merchant descriptor; if you see one you do not recognise, the invoice list is the fastest way to identify it.
Then tell us
Send the date, the amount and the last four digits of the card through the in-app Report / suggest form (available after signing in). We aim to reply within 5 business days and to resolve a straightforward billing error in the same reply. If you have already deleted your account and cannot sign in, write from the email address the account used.
Your right to dispute the charge with your bank
You can always dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer, and nothing here asks you to give that up. We would simply rather fix it directly: a chargeback takes weeks to resolve, whereas a genuine billing error on our side is usually refunded the day we see it.
9. Contact
Questions about this policy, a refund request, or a withdrawal notice can be sent through the in-app Report / suggest form. A dedicated billing contact address is being set up and will be published here once it exists. This policy sits alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy; where it describes the same thing in more detail, this page is the fuller statement.
